Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School offers high quality, non-denominational education to students from Kindy to Year 12 (co-education from Kindy to Year 6, girls only Years 7-12). Established in 1892, the School is one of eight original Grammar Schools in Queensland. We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Executive Team as Dean of Teaching, Learning and Innovation. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the role leads curriculum innovation, academic performance and contemporary pedagogy across our Senior School (Year 7-12). You will work closely with the Deputy Principal, Heads of Department, and wider academic teams to delivery outstanding learning outcomes.

As Dean, you will champion a modern, relevant and impactful curriculum, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and professional learning. With strong academic leadership, you’ll ensure compliance with QCAA processes, lead data‑informed practice, and strengthen pathways for every student—ATAR, vocational and alternative—while modelling a positive approach to change and innovation.

You are a high performing and dynamic leader with extensive experience and relevant qualifications in teaching, learning and innovation in a middle and/ or senior management role within an education setting. You’ll bring:

• Deep knowledge of contemporary education issues and frameworks, with a track record of delivering school‑wide teaching and learning improvements.
• Strong capability in the production, analysis and interpretation of learning outcomes data to inform intervention and lift academic standards.
• Experience leading teams: setting priorities, communicating expectations, and achieving measurable outcomes.
• Ability to engage students, staff and families in a diverse community—fostering critical thinking, creativity and excellence.
• High proficiency with digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning; strong written, verbal and listening skills; outstanding organisation and attention to detail.
• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
